Roast Ingredients: Sandwich Ingredients:
1 SFM Chuck Roast - Thin slices of your favorite bread
1 cup water - 4 slices of American cheese
1 Tbsp minced garlic - 1/2 cup cooked roast; shredded
2 Tbsp beef soup base - butter
2 Tbsp Worchestireshire sauce - Hot Honey for drizzle
2 tsp liquid smoke
salt & pepper to taste
Directions:
Add the roast to the crock insert of a slow cooker. Top with the remaining ingredients. Cook on low for 8 hours or until fork-tender.
Pro Tip: Build the sandwich in a cold skillet and then put it on the stove to cook.
Butter one side of each slice of bread. Put the buttered side of one slice in the skillet, butter side down. Place two slices of cheese on the bread. Top with the shredded roast and drizzle the hot honey over the meat before adding the last, double layer of cheese. Add the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
Heat in a medium-high skillet until the first side is golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwich to the other side and cook until brown.
Enjoy!
