Ingredients
SFM Co Brisket
1 onion; sliced
1 packet Au Jus seasoning
2 tsp dried thyme
2 tsp dried oregano
3 cups water
Salt & pepper to taste
Provolone cheese slices
hoagie buns
Directions
Add the brisket, onion, seasonings, and water to the crockpot. Set on low to cook for 8 hours.
Once finished, pull the brisket out of the crockpot and shred the meat.
Spray a cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray, and layer the hoagie buns on the cookie sheet.
Add the shredded brisket to each bottom bun, then layer with a slice of provolone cheese.
Keeping the sandwiches open-faced, bake in a 350-degree oven for 15 minutes or until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted.
Once out of the oven, place the top bun on the rest of the sandwich. Dip some of the gravy/au jus into a small bowl for dipping.
