Brisket French Dip Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • SFM Co Brisket

  • 1 onion; sliced

  • 1 packet Au Jus seasoning

  • 2 tsp dried thyme

  • 2 tsp dried oregano

  • 3 cups water

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Provolone cheese slices

  • hoagie buns


Directions

  • Add the brisket, onion, seasonings, and water to the crockpot. Set on low to cook for 8 hours.

  • Once finished, pull the brisket out of the crockpot and shred the meat.

  • Spray a cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray, and layer the hoagie buns on the cookie sheet.

  • Add the shredded brisket to each bottom bun, then layer with a slice of provolone cheese.

  • Keeping the sandwiches open-faced, bake in a 350-degree oven for 15 minutes or until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted.

  • Once out of the oven, place the top bun on the rest of the sandwich. Dip some of the gravy/au jus into a small bowl for dipping.
